Cala Blanca, Santandria and Sa Caleta

Cala  Blanca is one of the newer resorts on the island, most of it being built from the 90’s onwards, despite it being a modern resort It’s green and leafy, and has avoided the ‘concrete jungle’ look that other med destinations have started to resemble! It’s spread out over quite a large area but is still relatively quiet and unspoiled. There’s still enough to do close by, and it’s within easy reach of the larger resorts (Calan Forcat and Calan Bosch) and Ciutadella town. Its situated around a beautiful sandy cove, ideal for children and great for snorkeling or scuba diving.

Santandria is not commercially developed, with just a handful of bars and restaurants close to the beach. There are a few shops for essentials, with more of everything available in nearby Cala Blanca. Ideal for those looking for a quiet holiday with a beach close by.

Sa Caleta is a small area just a little way from Santandria and Cala Blanca. There’s a small but perfectly formed beach, and a handful of shops and bars. It’s very close to Ciutadella, around 20 minutes walk takes you to the start of Ciutadella.

The resorts cater mostly for families and couples.

They are around 50km from Mahon airport and takes around 50 minutes to get to by car.

Beaches:

There are 3 beaches close by; Cala Blanca beach, Santandria, and Sa Caleta. All are pretty coves with soft pale sand and very clear, shallow sea.

Cala Blanca beach is a picturesque turquoise cove, framed with pine trees. There are a couple of beach bars, one has water slides which is great for those with young children!

Pedalos, sunbeds and parasols are available to hire on the beach..
